20 Question Book Tag

I got tagged by Kaylee @ Kaylee’s Kind of Writes for this blog tag!  I am going to do this as a sort of get back into blogging for the year. 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be starting book reviews up again soon!

#1: How many books are too many in a series?

That’s hard.  Some series there are too many books, and the only reason is that the author seemed to be running out of ideas. (I can’t stand those!) Usually between 3 and 8 books is about right.

#2: How do you feel about cliff-hangers?

Ah yes.  Cliffhangers.  They are so awesome! XD  That is, when I’m writing not reading….

#3: Hardcover or paperback?

Probably paperback.

#4: Favorite book?

Only one???!!! In nonfiction, the favorites are probably The Count of Monte Cristo and the Wars of the Realm trilogy. (I know, that makes four total.  But anyone who likes reading won’t blame me.)

#5: Least Favorite Book?

Let me think…. Sorry.  No answer.  XD

#6: Love Triangles, yes or no?

So-so.  They’re way overused and clichéd, especially in romance movies.  I guess I don’t care either way!

#7: The most recent book you couldn’t finish?

The Railway Children by E. Nesbit is the last one I can remember and that was years ago.  I finish most books I start unless they’re super boring. XD

#8: A book you are currently reading?

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.

#9: Last book you recommended to someone?

The Count of Monte Cristo.  Just today, actually.

#10: Oldest book you’ve read? (publication date)

A few Shakespeare plays which are from the 1500s, then the Bible (1611) and Don Quixote (1605 and 1615).

#11: Newest book you’ve read? (publication date)

Through All Things by Malachi Cyr, published June 22nd, 2018.  Next oldest is Kiera by Kate Willis, published June 20th, 2018.

#12: Favorite author?

Don’t have one, but I really like: Alexandre Dumas, Chuck Black, Jane Austen,

#13: Buying books or borrowing?

Um….. I don’t usually do either.  (The best thing to do is get books (mainly classics) free on Kindle. ;))

#14: A book you dislike that everyone seems to love?

I can’t really think of one!  I could probably think of the other way around, one I like that everyone else dislikes, would be Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott.

#15: Bookmarks or dog-ears?

Bookmarks.

#16: A book you can always reread?

Rise of the Fallen by Chuck Black.

#17: Can you read while listening to music?

I can, mainly because I can read through anything.  My family says that I am deaf when I read. 😛

#18: One POV or multiple POVs?(For anyone that doesn’t know, that is Point Of View),

If the different POVs is clearly defined, I don’t mind them.  If they blend together, switching from one character to the next in a single scene, I find that confusing and  not enjoyable to read.

#19: Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

Depends on the length.  I am a fast reader, so unless I get interrupted I can read one in a sitting.

#20: Who do you tag?

PerAnna @ Life Without a Latte!

And no one else because I’m running out of time.

See y’all Friday!

~ Molly

That’s awesome!! I’ve started Les Mis before and haven’t gotten through it, but a friend read it recently and highly recommended it so I’m giving it another go. When you start reading, we should talk about it!!

My mom wants me to read it for school, and I’m hoping to start reading it in the next few months. Ooh, I’d love to talk about it!
